Joint Mobility & Z-Health Class Thursday night

I have received several requests for a Z-Health and joint mobility workshop lately, so Thursday night during the 6:45pm slot I will introduce the basics of JM and why it is so crucial for your training and fitness longevity. If you have been feeling stiff, achy, are experiencing pain or movement restriction, Z-Health and JM can make a HUGE difference in both your performance and comfort. We will have extended workshops in the new year and are actively courting Z-Health to host one of their certifications in our new facility next year.

Speaking of courting, once again I am "Courting Your Favor". As many of you know, I am a Russian Kettlebell Challenge Certified Instructor and I receive referrals for private training off of Dragondoor's homepage. Recently they have instituted a "Top Ten Kettlebell Instructors (by review ranking)" chart (middle of page) and I am seeking your help to get placed in the top ten, which could substantially increase my business income. I only need 4 more ratings at this point to get in the top 10 and more than 25 to be No. 1. To everyone that reviewed me before, Thank You for helping me to get halfway there. If you have trained with me and have not yet given me your review, please go to my RKC page and post your rating. This helps me a great deal and brings additional traffic into CFNYC.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

I threw a review up there too. I went through and read all the other posts. I never realized how well your name can fit into one-liners before. Perfect for Headlines.

So that's tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 13th? Also, I've trained Z-Health with you but not kettlebells. If I can write a review based on z-health and post it to the kettlebell site, I'd gladly do it.

I added a review too, you were number 9 after I added mine :)

Posted by: sam at December 12, 2007 4:26 PM

I added a review, too. Lies, every word.

I thought the joint mobility session was going to be tonight? Can't make it tomorrow, too bad for me.

Court is the man. My review is up. Thanks Court.

Posted by: AllisonNYC at December 12, 2007 7:37 PM

Thanks so much to everyone that has reviewed me so far; right now you've helped me to get to No. 7! Keep the one liners coming! If you haven't reviewed me yet, jump on board!
Thanks again and start swinging!

Has anyone seen utube videos of a group in BK doing clazy cool park workouts and creative pull-ups to music? It's like an intese pull-up music video..

Someone showed me in DC but I can't remember the name of the crew

Posted by: AllisonNYC at December 13, 2007 12:19 PM

Wow that's how you win a wheelbarrow race! See the importance of "skinning the cat" exercise came in clutch on that move! Is there nothing that crossfit cannot help you be good at? haha!

Big bellies. Men can be strong enough but women are made for them.

Moon,

We're made to do what we do. Who knew making babies had a functional side as well.

At the end of the article the researchers jest that they need to do a male counter study with beer bellied guys. Who's up for turning your back on the Zone and start chugging beers in the name of science?

Posted by: Robzilla at December 13, 2007 3:25 PM

yeah if u guys think carrying that slosh pipe across the room in a straight line is hard to do without toppling over-try walking across the room 36 weeks pregnant with twins. talk about balance. i think i was missing those key joints.

I brought this topic up on the main site but figured I'd ask here too since you all live here.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to get CrossFit into NYC public Schools. The PE programs are in need of some serious help.

CrossFit would be perfect for the job and could change lots of kids lives.

Sarena posted a link on my message board blog about Coach G using it with his students in Cali.

Posted by: AllisonNYC at December 13, 2007 4:47 PM

Will there still be the 8:15 class tonight? I want to try to make it if class lets out early enough.

Posted by: Gene at December 13, 2007 5:03 PM

Allison NYC that was Coach B!!

Posted by: sarena at December 13, 2007 5:18 PM

Considering my physique in highschool, I could've used some PE crossfit.

Highschool Dan L. could have probably used Crossfit for PE.

Thanks Court for teaching and Keith for helping us all out too. Court, your presentation and expertise in the Z Health foundations are very evident!

An extra thanks to Keith for actually being more than civil--actually nice-- to me tonight with jumprope assistance! I do notice those things you can be assured.

So disappointed I miss class tonight, as I really wanted to go... But Im still coughing and wheezing and blowing my knows every 5 mins and don't want to get anyone sick, and well we all know about my aversion to this weather. Anyways, I look forward to the next time and the workshops in the future.

I'm not sure if CrossFit would work in public schools. CrossFit is available and accessible to all, yet seemingly paradoxically, it's not really for the general public. From trying to convince friends to check out the Box, I've come to realize that you can't force someone to do WODs. They have to want to do it. (Okay, technically, you CAN force children to do pretty much anything, but ethically, you probably shouldn't.)

-----

We should look into having the Bartendaz come over to the Box for a demo.
