Does that come in an XXS. No seriously guys-I want some CFNYC shirts that fit. I have a bunch of examples from other affliates of the shirt style that works best. I'll pay extra if I have to. I want to represent when I go to the next certs and look cute at the same time.

Posted by: sarena at December 2, 2007 11:35 PM
Please order those shirts! Can I get mine with one sleeve only? I'll pay less if I have to.

FitLinxx. This machine seems like it will work out for you.

I'm no grammar wizard, but isn't the capitalization in the shirt a little arbitrary?
Saturday WOD at home:
5 burpees
10 alternating pistols
15 chin ups
20 push ups
25 double unders
AMRAP 20
Working out at home is tough. I could only muster ~3.5 rounds. The push ups started out chest clapping, but I had to resort to regular clap and then regular pushups because I was so gassed. I actually thought the push ups and double unders would were going to be the easy parts, but I underestimated how winded I was going to be after the others, and then ended up being the hardest. I was breathing VERY heavily during the double unders.
I couldn't get good time on my chins since I have one of those bars that clamps to the top of the door frame. I could kick on the way up, but I had to do a slow, controlled negative so as not to dislodge the bar from the door. That effed me up big time.

We aren't actually selling those shirts. Allison sent me a link to it and thought it was funny enough to share with you all. You can find them on Cafe Press. I'm hoping to get some new shirts of ours online in the near future...in time for holiday shopping.
Begun these food wars have...

Tyler - I don't care how good of a "Yoda" you can do, I'm not doing WODs with you strapped to my back.
Posted by: Moon at December 3, 2007 9:09 AM
Hey Dammit, congrats on PVC.
post some pics.
Im down for a road trip.
Posted by: juan g. at December 3, 2007 9:13 AM
See, that makes me not want to go near a jump rope. Does anyone really need to be able to do that?
did a quick wod
max pushup in 2 min, 2 min rest,
max situp in 2 min, 2 min rest
max squat in 2 min
did 64 pushups, 60 situps (feet anchored), 84 squats
Posted by: Brett_nyc at December 3, 2007 9:26 AM
Tyler you're more of a Wookie than a Yoda-I've seen how hairy your back is! Besides no one can really understand what you're saying anyway besides Court-which would make him Han Solo.

Call me old fashioned, but to me, something just isn't right about a grown man doing the Roger Rabbit while jumping rope to the tune of Cotton Eye Joe for a group of high schoolers.

Ok so whats my excuse exactly for not being able to do pullups? Check out Dyllie, Annie's 15 month old, doing her share of em on Eva Ts blog

That video kind of makes you throw up a little in your mouth. That's why Buddy Lee is the King and everyone else is an imposter.
When will people learn, that bad dancing when you're jumping rope is still just bad dancing.

WOD:
Subbed 100 walking lunges for the run
1 round of good mornings/other two rounds were back extensions
AB Situps as rx'd
I found this to be a very unpleasant workout. I think the time was in the high 30's - I must confirm tomorrow.

This kid is the real deal!
Posted by: Tyler Durden at December 3, 2007 11:08 AM
If anyone was curious, for dinner last night I had a huge bowl of beef stroganoff over a mountain noodles, with a double slice of lemon meringue pie for dessert washed down with a chocolate milkshake. Mmmm Zone.
Posted by: Brett_nyc at December 3, 2007 11:27 AM
Keith-You can't be that good and have a girlfriend at the same time. Poor kid.
Posted by: Jack Bauer at December 3, 2007 11:28 AM
Tyler-
Until I see you do a tush-up with your jump rope, you can't talk smack about the Rope Warrior.
Besides, he's doing it for the kids.
Posted by: avery at December 3, 2007 12:03 PM
Yeah, I hit the "Zone" wall last night with dinner... Not real creative though, just some chips and PB&J with some ice cream. Its getting to be too fucking cold out now.
Posted by: Justin at December 3, 2007 12:35 PM
If the girls go crazy for rope jumping, wait till they see me burpee..
They won't know what hit 'em!
Posted by: Burpee Grandmaster at December 3, 2007 1:20 PM
Think this guy is doing the Zone? Could this explain an apparent level of grouchyness?

I'd like to see that guy and Buddy Lee in some sort of Jump Rope face-off. But, instead of jump ropes they got boxing gloves and instead of watching that guy dance badly we get to see him get punched in the face...
Yeah, I'd pay for that.

With all the talk of diet/food plan lately, I thought I would share yet another diet story I read:
-----------------------------------------------
I have 6 large dogs and was buying several large bags of Iam's at Costco, and I was standing in line to check out. The woman behind me asked if I had a dog?
(Duh!)
On impulse, I told her no, I was starting The Purina Diet again and I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital the last time. But I'd lost 20 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IV's in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story, particularly a tall guy who was standing behind her.
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me?
I told her no, I'd been sitting in the street licking my butt and a car hit me.

10 Muscle Ups for Time: 3:30
Posted by: Dan L at December 3, 2007 10:08 PM
22:38 (PR)
15 GHD sit-ups/35 Abmat situps per round.
Shooting for sub-20 when we move in to our new ground floor space.
Posted by: Ewen at December 3, 2007 10:16 PM
26:12 with 800-meter row... Pulled a muscle in my ass on the last set of sit-ups and that slowed me down a lot. The GHD did not help that.
Posted by: Justin at December 3, 2007 10:34 PM
I meant 1000 meter row for the run...
Posted by: Justin at December 3, 2007 10:35 PM
alex-welcome back! that time is awesome-i did one round and it took me like 11:30!
Posted by: michelle at December 3, 2007 11:47 PM
24:24 (pr) with 45# good mornings and running outside in the freezing cold.
My legs felt dead during each run but my situps/good mornings felt really strong.
I want to get in the low 20's next time - hopefully I'll have my running legs back by then...
