Here are two more videos for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Great videos Kieth! Chad's new nickname should definitely be "The Guppy" based on how he's sucking air during those jumping pull-ups. Just kidding Chad, keep up the good work.

For today's workout, 7x3 push press:
185-205-205(miss #3 on this set)-205-209-210 -210(missed #3 here).
I followed that up with 6 doubles in the deadlift at 405.

Work sets:

Was'nt feeling very strong today

Worked on double unders(finally). Got 30 in a row. Damn those things are tough. Now if I could only do that many in a metcon workout.

Adam, are you trying to keep the rest of us from posting our numbers by making us feel pitiful in comparison to you? Goddamn, I'm weak.

Keith, great videos, as always. Especially love the skin-the-burpees (or are they burpee-the-cat's?) from my birthday! They seem so much slower on video than how they felt to actually do them...

Posted by: Allison at May 1, 2007 3:53 PM

Great job fellas. 210, nice.
Kevin, strong as well. As usual,I will try to keep up with you at the 7pm class.
We'll see.

As for my finals, I have three exams per week for the entire month of May. Crossfit is keeping me sane! Thanks evrybody.

Thanks for reminding me that we did the jailhouse 10 before. I was so spent afterwards I totally forgot that we did those, lol.

Any news on what went on at the Box today? What was the rest day workout?

Posted by: Justin at May 3, 2007 9:21 AM

Today's workout: "Kettlehell"

(courtesy of Keith's sick and twisted mind, and in honor of Court, who requested a KB workout today)

5 rounds for time (or call it at 30 minutes, which is what happened in this morning's class)

20 deadlifts
20 sumo deadlift high pulls
20 2-arm swings
10 right-arm swings
10 left-arm swings
10 right-arm snatches
10 left-arm snatches

ON-RAMP CLASS: half the reps

-------

When time was called, I was on my 17th 2-arm swing of the 5th round, using the 12 kg KB.

I also have a nasty lump on my left forearm that I am currently icing. Damn snatches!

Posted by: Allison at May 3, 2007 9:30 AM

CrossFit NYC: So tough, we also use poods for body jewelry

Posted by: Moon at May 3, 2007 9:54 AM

gee i am SO SORRY that today is my day off.

Posted by: michelle at May 3, 2007 10:01 AM

M/38/168/5'11"
DL 225, 21-15-9
GHSU 30-20-10
As Rx'd, touch & go w/no bounce.
7:27
Did this up at my other job at the 'Nox, where they have a GHD and you can't drop weight. Kevin came along to yell at me.
Sets were broken, but Kevin had me do some very useful declining ladders that made for a quick recovery; nice.
By the way, I had nothing to do with the design of kettlehell; I just suggested something with KB's to get ready for Steve.
As far as nicknames for our exhibitionist film maker, how 'bout "MT", short for "man tits"?!!!

Allison-you should use your hand, not your forearm when you're doing that...and you're supposed to affirmative statements when you talk about "that" part of your body. ;-)

Posted by: Court at May 3, 2007 5:06 PM

That kb workout really was hell! Completed 4 rounds with the 1.5 pood at 27 minutes but had to stop cuz my hands were ripped open. Pretty painful. I looked at my hands and am wondering what other people are thinking when they see them. Bandages everywhere.;-)
